I just bought my son a Chuck Berry best-of collection I saw at Costco– I saw he’d downloaded a couple of Chuck Berry songs recently. My son loves oldies.
Of course, I’ll have to borrow it to put on my itunes…
I almost purchased a Buddy Holly CD today, what a weird coincidence.
I decided to hold out for a better selection of tracks, the lousy store I was in only had a single CD by him, and I’m sure I could find a better offer elsewhere (Hello, Amazon).
there is never a reason not to listen to buddy holly.
unless you’ve do-wopped out on chuck berry.
Hear, hear!
I couldn’t agree more.
Not even over do-wopping on Chuck Berry is an excuse.
I concur with Fish.

JY, It’s weird, I’m going crazy with the 50’s music lately, mostly due to that “Ain’t Got No Home” song.
mob, I got by with “From The Original Master Tapes” for many happy years.
CP, have you ever been to the Surf Ballroom?
No, is that in Clear Lake? Is it a place where someone would have a wedding reception? Cause I’ve been to at least one wedding there.
It looks like they do offer their venue for weddings, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you were there at some point.
It’s the last place Buddy Holly played before the crash.
