I’m solid gold
I’ve got the goods
They stand when I walk
Through the neighborhoods
I’m makin’ it
I’ve got the chance
I’m takin’ it
No more, no more
Fakin’ it
This time in life
I’m makin’ it (ooh, ooh, ooh!)
Hello Uptown
Goodbye poverty
The top of the ladder
Is waiting for me
I’m makin’ it
I’ve got the chance
I’m takin’ it
No more, no more
Fakin’ it
This time in life
I’m makin’ it (ooh, ooh, ooh!)
Listen everyone here
This coming year’s gonna be my year
I’m as bad as they come
Number two to no one
I’ve got looks, I’ve got brains
And I’m breakin’ these chains
Make some room now
Dig what you see
Success is mine
‘Cause I’ve got the key
I’m makin’ it
I’ve got the chance
I’m takin’ it
No more, no more
Fakin’ it
This time in life
I’m makin’ it (ooh, ooh, ooh!)
Makin’ it (non-stop!)
Makin’ it (to the top!)
Makin’ it
I’m makin’ it
Is the hand part from the B horror movie, Werewolf? I like it when the werewolf takes the silver bullet out of his head and says, “I’d like to give you a piece of my mind.”
Much more talent than Sly.
That picture is from the fantastic horror movie, An American Werewolf In London, starring David Naughton, formerly of a short-lived disco sitcom “Makin’ It”.
He also sang the theme song for Makin’ It.
Truly, a Renaissance Man.
Okay, the otherwerewolf movie. I knew it was one of the two. Of course, AWiL is a much better film, but sometimes the B movies are more fun.
Maybe you’re thinking of The Howling?
That was more of a B-movie, but it was pretty darned good, too.
The Howling was awesome. And that is the one where the werewolf pulls the bullet out of his own head.
Tangent: “Mr. Kessler! Mr. Kessler!” In my opinion, Frank Oz’s second best line of his career after “concentraaaaAAAATE!” in Empire Strikes Back.
Yeah, that’s a great Frank Oz line.
Some other choice Oz quotes — “It’s an opera” from Trading Places, and the whole opening from The Blues Brothers (“one prophylactic — used”).
