I wore a hoodie just today Splotchy. Do you have something against hoodies, Splotchy? Hoodie, hoodie, hoodie. Just tryin’ to help you earn a little extra holiday cash.
Of course, I read last night that the O.E.D. short edition now includes an entry for “ghetto fabulous.” Talk about your signs of the apocalypse. Slang belongs in Webster’s; the O.E.D. should be pure and noble, eschewing trendy and soon-to-be-discarded catchphrases. Just sayin’.

I hate hoodies. They make me clausterphobic.
It is a bit too cutesy, but it still beats wearing a dickie.
“cutesy and shit” 😛
Aren’t they just hooded sweat-shirts?
freida b, my children and their college education thank you.
grant, that’s probably the least of your problems. I’ll send some brownies!
s_tothe_d, I cannot dispute that.
CTC, YES. They are hooded sweatshirts. Finally, a voice in the wilderness.

d, those freakin’ OED-wannabe NOOBs. Always trailing after the cool peeps, but never cool themselves.
you know, we can capture the word and change it to some sort of sexual connotation, like replacing “th’ man in th’ boat” or something.
“come heah, my chicken! I want you to please my hoodie!!”
or something…
