Hi From A Pre-Dawn San Diego

Hello. I am in California.

It is dark.

I am waiting for everyone to wake up.

We’re here for MizSplotchy’s brother’s 40th B-day.

Since he now knows we’re here (it was a surprise) I can finally announce my whereabouts.

Probably not a lotta posts over the next few days, but I’m sure I’ll write about my experiences ad nauseum when we return.

If anyone wants to recommend any sites in the San Diego area that we absolutely have to see, please leave a comment.

Thanks.

  1. I remember swinging by to Dr. Seuss’s house, but sadly is was just a house and did not look like anything from his books.

I would also the that big zoo they have and of couse the beach.

(I was there this last summer)

  2. Mr. Splotch. Unfortunately, The black shirts only come one-sided. I know you requested the spelled out name on the back, but would you accept a front with the picture and the name spelled out underneath instead of an acronym?

Let me know what you would prefer…and where’s my mantis shirt, foo?

    Enjoy Cali for me.

  3. san diego is so nice
go to the coronado hotel and see if you can find marilyn monroe, tony curtis and jack lemmon…

(in Some Like It Hot the hotel was used — and was supposed to be in Florida…. )

and i still love the zoo there

  4. I can’t recommend any sights to see, but I did write that piece of iSplotchy fiction you were looking for. Stop by Social Zymurgy when you get the chance. I’d love to know what you think.

    Have fun!

    Doc

  5. Deep sigh. I’ve gone around selling off my endorsements like some cheap… well you know.

And now you are not here to draw me a birthday doodle of Zaius and Monkey fighting it out as you prevail.

And I must say, Monkey/Love are wooing me on my birthday here.

I am getting too old for this, aren’t I?

  6. Old Town San Diego is a lot of fun. Great Mexican restaurant there – can’t remember the name, though, but it’s smack-dab in the middle of Old Town.

Anthony’s is another great restaurant – it’s a seafood place on the water.

    Have fun!
