franiam, I have actually worked in a job where I had to empty out grease in a grease dumpster on a nightly basis, and I can tell you from experience it smelled more of a kelly green than anything.
Oh Splotchy tell me about it. In 1995, after a trip to Chicago(!) I decided to quit my executroid life form job and go work at the soon to be opened Crate&Barrel at a local mall. (Unlike my pal D-cap, I have never lived in Manhattan, just worked there.)
And this did happen.
We had to use a freight elevator that AND we were located directly under the food court in the mall.
Hence I am familiar with the scent of the grease dumpster. It is not good. I think vomit brown actually.
A trend was started at that C&B because I dubbed that the “smelly-vator” and it took off. I doubt that it is still in use, but for two years, “the smelly-vator” it was indeed.
This is so much more information than you required, but it is the source of wanting a pink fresh grease dumpster.
I think the dumpster would look better if it was pink.
now THAT’S unconnected.
kim, I think a pink dumpster would be a lovely addition to any sitting room.
d, THANK you. It’s no small thing to find unconnectedness in this tiny world.
Oh no, I can feel this connection in my bones…
The dumpster smells pink and fragrant and pretty, not at all what you might expect. In fact it gives a new meaning to a pink, fresh smell.

But wasn’t the unidentifiable kelly-green smelling liquid seeping through the rust-rotted cracks pink?
It was at the shit hole where I worked.

CTC, there might have been pink stuff a-leakin’ but I don’t remember what orifice it came from.
franiam, mmmm. Sbarro grease. I love the word “smelly-vator” — it’s unapologetically childish (not unlike myself).
egad, a fascinating juxtaposition!!
