There is so much packed into these faint pencil scratches — I suffer injury, decide to attempt to make a connection with a friend (and forget), struggle under the pressure of my own procrastination, and for no apparent reason switch to cursive handwriting.
I love these!
You know what I do when I scan something, like a Froodle? I put it in my photo editor and increase the contrast or apply other adjustments and it can correct the faintness and make it more legible.
You were quite the fan of onomatopoeia.
By the way, if it turns out that Dave Butler is some crazy psycho killer now, I think it’s all your fault. You never called him.
freida b, how faint it appears in the pic is pretty much how faint the writing was. Next time I scan one I’ll see if I can play around with it.
beckeye, great, now I got that on my conscience.
Special effects! Love it.
I love the “panic city” and “cool city”references–you went a lot of great places as a kid, Splotch.
I suspect if I found any of my writing from that time in my life, it would look almost exactly like this! (minus calling and then NOT calling Dave Butler, the poor sap)
