  1. Simon and Garfunkel:

The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin’ Groovy)

A Simple Desultory Philippic (or How I Was Robert McNamara’d Into Submission)

El Condor Pasa (If I Could)

  2. The one’s with the parentheses at the begging always are at the begging of any songlist on my iPod.

Might I suggest the song “Parentheses” by The Blow? It’s a great song by a great band/singer. Although it actually lacks parentheses in the title.

  3. Lionel Richie – All Night Long (All Night)

Aerosmith – Dude (Looks Like a Lady)

Hall & Oates – I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do)

Flock of Seagulls – I Ran (So Far Away)

  4. The White Stripes love them some parentheses . . .

You’re Pretty Good Looking (For A Girl)

    Death Letter (Son House)

I’m Lonely (But I Ain’t That Lonely Yet)

  5. Mr. Miller, you are twisting the rules! I actually featured The Blow in a recent WICH post, where there was a surprising amount of hostility to the photo I posted. I listened to some of their music on their MySpace page when I picked them for WICH, and thought it was pretty good stuff.

Since no one else has mentioned it, I’ll do another song title:

Sonic Youth – Brave Men Run (In My Family)

  6. Talking Heads – This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)

Talking Heads – Born Under Punches (The Heat Goes On)

Talking Heads – (Nothing But) Flowers

    The Talking Heads love parenthesis
