{"id":1070,"date":"2008-03-28T15:40:00","date_gmt":"2008-03-28T15:40:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/isplotchy.com\/blog\/?p=1070"},"modified":"2013-05-04T01:43:09","modified_gmt":"2013-05-04T01:43:09","slug":"so-ends-the-boingboing-pandering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/isplotchy.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/so-ends-the-boingboing-pandering\/","title":{"rendered":"So Ends The BoingBoing Pandering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here we are, on the eve of my one year blogoversary, nearing the arbitrary deadline I have set for myself to be honored on the pages of <a href=\"http:\/\/boingboing.net\/\">BoingBoing<\/a>, like such blogging luminaries as <a href=\"http:\/\/monkeymucker.blogspot.com\/\">Dr. Monkey Von Monkerstein<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/nosmokingintheskullcave.blogspot.com\/\">Becca<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I have shown the world <a href=\"http:\/\/isplotchy.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/super-mario-homemade-macaroni-and.html\">Super Mario Homemade Macaroni and Cheese<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I have given it a <a href=\"http:\/\/isplotchy.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/steampunk-bar-of-soap.html\">Steampunk bar of soap<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I have even <a href=\"http:\/\/isplotchy.com\/blog\/2008\/03\/scroogled-translated-into-language-of_27.html\">translated a short story<\/a> into the vernacular of a zoned-out seventh grader, a voice all too absent from our intellectual discourse in this baby-boomer dominated world.<\/p>\n<p>Will my sort of not half-assed efforts pay off?  I don&#8217;t know.<\/p>\n<p>I do know that if you want to see <span>I, Splotchy<\/span> BoingBoinged, you have the means within your power.<\/p>\n<p>If you have seen something cool on my site, whether it was yesterday or a year ago, you can suggest it to the tastemakers of BoingBoing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boingboing.net\/suggest.html\">here<\/a>.  You&#8217;ll be glad you did.  Actually, I&#8217;ll be glad you did, and isn&#8217;t that really the same thing?<\/p>\n<p>If I do not make it into BoingBoing before the arrival of my blogoversary, don&#8217;t worry.  I won&#8217;t wilt like a fragile flower.
