{"id":344,"date":"2009-06-08T13:03:00","date_gmt":"2009-06-08T13:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/isplotchy.com\/blog\/?p=344"},"modified":"2013-05-04T01:33:19","modified_gmt":"2013-05-04T01:33:19","slug":"muvico-the-theater-chain-for-swingers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/isplotchy.com\/blog\/2009\/06\/muvico-the-theater-chain-for-swingers\/","title":{"rendered":"Muvico, The Theater Chain For Swingers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, this weekend MizSplotchy and I went to see the new Sam Raimi movie <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1127180\/\">Drag Me To Hell<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>We ended up going up to Rosemont to the Muvico 18 Theater, a palatial looking newish building that is quite visible from I-294.<\/p>\n<p>It was nice to go to a chain that I hadn&#8217;t been to before.  I tend to build up resentment for a given movie chain if I see too many movies at their theaters (hello, Kerasotes!).<\/p>\n<p>The experience was enjoyable enough, minus the fucking obligatory commercials that we moviegoers are forced to endure.  The movie itself was a lot of fun, and I&#8217;m really glad that we went out to see it.<\/p>\n<p>The thing I liked most about our moviegoing experience was the Muvico logo:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/isplotchy.com\/images\/blog\/muvico_logo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/isplotchy.com\/images\/blog\/muvico_logo.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wow, the anthropomorphized film reel is really giving it to the star, isn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p>(<a href=\"http:\/\/isplotchy.com\/blog\/2008\/05\/cockola.html\">previously<\/a>)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So, this weekend MizSplotchy and I went to see the new Sam Raimi movie Drag Me To Hell.
